DirecTV Vs. Dish Network – My Review

DISH versus DIRECTV

Directv is what I had for the past two years, but have since switched to Dish Network. My reason for switching was not because I was unhappy with the service or anything like that. I switch back and forth every 2 years because when your contract is up, the competitor is always offering something better for free. I try to use my head for something other than a hat rack because I have learned that both directv and dish network don’t reward you for being a long time customer but they will give you the world to get to sign up. Directv is more expensive of the two, unless you are just signing up with them, but they do offer a little more service depending on what you like. Directv has more exclusives as far as sports go, such as the NFL andMLB packages, as well as the NCAA March Madness package. I am a huge sports fan and love all of these but my friends always buy this on their directv so I watch it with them. The new thing going right now that Dish Network offers is Turbo HD. This is a great program with 3 different packages: bronze, silver and gold. You can get the high definition experience by selecting one of these packages from Dish Network. Directv offers more hd channels but again, their service is more expensive. Dish Network is the more basic of the two satellite programs but that don’t mean it doesn’t offer a LOT of what you will enjoy because it does. One thing that I love about Dish Network is the dual-room dvr receiver. I only have one receiver(hd/dvr) and it is in the living room. You can record programs out of multiple rooms through that one receiver. With directv, you can not do that. Directv allows you to record multiple programs at the same time but only in that one room. With dish, you can watch the recorded shows on any of your tv’s. That’s my review about Dish versus DIRECT
